Synopsis: Living in the Mopti region in Mali, the Bozos are traditional fishermen who are known for their great masteries and spiritual beliefs. But in recent years, the depletion of the Niger River has led to the reduction and even the disappearance of certain species of fish. Losing their sources of life, the Bozos’ survival instinct drove them to become sand fishers. And because of the population growth especially in the Malian capital Bamako, the Bozos also go there to extract sand from the Niger River.
